Cliff Dwellings

Manitou Cliff Dwellings Preserve and Museums, located in the scenic foothills of Pikes Peak, overlooking the historic town of Manitou Springs, offer a unique look at Native American culture.

While wandering through the preserves you will discover the fascinating architecture of the ancient Anasazi. Indian dancers provide traditional programs June through August.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the dwellings, room by room, on a self-guided tour. The actual ruins date back to 1100-1300 A.D. and are sure to delight visitors of all ages.

The dwellings are paired with 2 museums that feature cultural displays of prehistoric Southwestern Indians. Several gift shops feature Indian-made pottery, jewelry and crafts, as well as Colorado souvenirs and collectables.
